I’m on Chapter 27/34. I feel I’m not giving this book justice. Since I’ve started listening to it, I’ve had to stop and start so many times I find the suspense loses momentum. This is not because the book doesn’t have suspenseful momentum, rather it’s absence is solely due to the lack of my full attention. My initial recommendation is to read this rather than listen to it. If you do choose to listen to it, I would suggest making sure you have the time to sit down and listen for an entire chapter without interruptions.
The story itself is great! The narrator is doing a fantastic job. His voice is very easy to listen to. It’s interesting to “read” about the JFK assassination from the point of view of a criminal. Very unique. I’m rooting for Charlotte and her girls, hoping they have a happy ending.
As far as crime novels go, this one is worth the read if you enjoy the genre.
